The UHP Student Leadership Award identifies a graduating UHP student who is an emerging leader on campus or in the community. This student has demonstrated a commitment to all of the values of UHP including excellence, innovation, and personal growth, and are part of a new generation of leaders.

Three UHP Students Win the 2019 Lang Prize for Undergraduate Research

Three of the seven recipients of the 2019 Norma J. Lang Prize are students in the University Honors Program.

This award recognizes students for extensively using library resources and services for their undergraduate research projects. The prize is funded by an endowment from the late UC Davis Professor Emerita of Botany, Norma J. Lang. The prizes are awarded within two different categories: Arts, Humanities, & Social Sciences and Science, Engineering, & Mathematics.

We're Not in Davis Anymore! UHP Students Travel to Montana

Traveling from our familiar town of Davis to the mountainous campus of Montana State University, UHP students represented UC Davis at the annual Western Regional Honors Council Conference.

One of the essential elements of the University Honors Program curriculum is research and exploration. Although students recognize their fourth year entails a signature work, many do not realize that “research” does not always mean lab coats and vials filled with chemicals (although sometimes it does!).

Turning Library Research into Education for All

Through exploring the mission of the research institution, Honors students are able to create projects that positively impact our campus and communities.

Two UHP Seniors Win the 2018 Lang Prize for the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences

2018 UC Davis University Honors Program graduates Sammy Carey and Shelbie Condie both received second place in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences for the 2018 Norma J. Lang Prize. This award, given to six students, is for stimulating research and the best use of resources at Peter J. Shields Library. Both seniors presented their research at the 2018 Undergraduate Research Conference at UC Davis, and the 2018 Western Regional Honors Conference at Chapman University.
