How I can help you: As your peer Mentor, I can help you navigate through the UC Davis campus as a first-year student. I can share my own experiences of being a first-year student to assure you that we all have been in your shoes and it isn't easy. Having the guidance and support by me as your mentor will help you have a positive first year at UC Davis. 

When I started at UC Davis: I felt lost and a bit out of place but over time I met people who made me feel welcome on campus. Over time I no longer felt lost instead, I felt happy and excited to begin my journey at UC Davis. There are many opportunities around the UC Davis campus, don't be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone because you may never know where an opportunity may take you. 

Advice for incoming first-year UHP students: A piece of advice I would like. to share with incoming first-year UHP students is don't be afraid to put yourself out there. It may be scary at first but you will be surprised how many other students feel the same way. Putting yourself out there will help you build strong connections not only with your peers but with your professors as well.
