Personal Interests: I enjoy following both college and professional football. I also have a strong interest in music and movies, dedicating time each week to discovering and reviewing new releases. Additionally, I love exploring different cuisines and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular workouts.

Campus Involvement: I am a board member of Circle K, a club oriented towards promoting community service by assembling a team of volunteers for different service projects while simultaneously building a strong social community.

How I can help you: I would like to help students adjust to college life by giving them the guidance I wish I had when I arrived at Davis. I would introduce them to campus resources so that they are best equipped to utilize them when required. I would encourage involvement in campus organizations and taking advantage of academic opportunities so that they are best equipped to succeed and enjoy their time at Davis. I understand the difficulty of the social transition from leaving home for college and would help students approach the daunting yet exciting task of building a social circle at Davis while being a reliable presence. The academic adjustment required from high school to college may be initially tricky to grasp, which is why I hope to help point students to available resources and share tips on what worked for me. Furthermore, I would emphasize the importance of taking care of their mental health by helping students plan out their days and pick up a hobby to help make enough time for themselves.

When I arrived at UC Davis I felt...anxious yet excited at the fresh start ahead.

Advice for incoming first-year UHP students:

I advise incoming UHP students to be patient with their adjustment to Davis because it will take time, but with some guidance and effort, everything does become easier, and Davis eventually does feel like home. Don't be afraid to strike up a conversation with a stranger wherever you go, whether it be at the dining commons, dorms, a class, the Silo, or the ARC, because you never know who may become a friend. Try to get out of your comfort zone and take up opportunities you normally wouldn't because once the quarter begins to accelerate, you're unlikely to get the chance again. Even if you face challenges with keeping up academically, building a new social circle, or just taking care of yourself, always remember that you can reach out to your mentor or leverage Davis's resources.
