About Me

Jeni serves as the Transfer, Third and Fourth-Year Advisor for the University Honors Program. Jeni was a first generation student herself and identifies as a first generation professional. Jeni has been working with a diverse population of students throughout her career in higher education and other roles in the educational field such as students who identify as first generation, undocumented, former foster/homeless youth, and other identities. Jeni enjoys supporting students in different capacities in order to help navigate barriers that may occur during their time in and out of the university.

How I Work with Students

Jeni is an advisor because she believes in fostering an environment that allows students to feel supported both personally and professionally. With students facing different challenges and needs, Jeni believes in offering personalized resources and support to guide students through academic and personal challenges. Jeni likes to ensure that each student has the tools and confidence they need to succeed while they are at UC Davis and once they leave the university setting. Jeni seeks to create genuine connections with students through the support she offers at UC Davis.

Fun Facts about Me

Outside of the office, I enjoy baking, spending time with friends/family, and being outdoors. I enjoy listening to music, playing games on my nintendo switch, and reading books relating to my own personal experiences or journeys.
