Harry S. Truman Scholarship Awarded to students interested in pursuing a career in government or public service. To qualify, students must be a US citizen or US national, a junior, in the top 25% of class (typically students with a GPA below 3.5 will not be competitive), an outstanding leader, and extensive public and community service. Because UC Davis may nominate a limited number or students, a campus selection process consisting of a pre-application is required by all interested students. Selected students will participate in a campus interview and up to four nominees will be chosen to compete in the national competition. This scholarship carries with it a service requirement.
