Being part of the DHC program provides many wonderful challenges for me as a teacher and faculty colleague. The DHC program examines the process of learning and stimulates important dialogue among faculty. Most exciting is working with a diverse range of students to explore challenging topics in an unconventional classroom environment that allows for students to guide their own learning process. This empowering of students to take responsibility for their own learning brings great satisfaction to me as a teacher and is at the center of the educational experience.
Eric Schroeder
Teaching in the University Honors Program has been one of the highlights of my career at Davis. Students in these programs are filled with energy and enthusiasm and are lots of fun to work with.

My experience teaching in ISHP in Winter 05 was one of the best Itreminded me of what I loved about my first teaching position at ColbyCollege- small classes with extremely motivated students from mostlyscience disciplines.
Jay Mechling
I love teaching first year students and then watching them flourish through their four sometimes five years at Davis. I stay in touch with those students even after they graduate, and I am extremely proud of their achievements.
Krishnan Nambiar
It is indeed rewarding to see the professional growth of DHC students in terms of their ability in critical thinking, project presentation and teamwork skills, and equally important their evolution into decent human beings.
