ISHP Students Posting Work on the Web

Dr. Evan Fletcher’s popular ISHP class, IST8A “Understanding the Scientific Study of Consciousness,” has produced a number of excellent term papers in recent years. Dr. Fletcher and ISHP class tutor Melody Jue worked with students from the Fall 2006 class to make papers available on the web.

Since the original posting, Dr. Fletcher worked with class tutor Stephanie Beattie to add papers from the Fall 2007 class. You are encouraged to check out these scholarly contributions. Topics from “autism” to “theories of the self” are covered.

In Dr. Marco Molinaro’s IST9 seminar in Spring 2007 on “Building a Biophotonics World,” students helped to prepare the launch of the definitive web resource for the emerging field of biophotonics, defined as the use of light and lasers in biology and medicine. The students edited papers created in Molinaro’s Winter Quarter 2007 IST8A course on “Shedding Light on Life – An Introduction to Biophotonics” as well as creating their own supplementary materials. The result will be a significant part of the future offerings on BiophotonicsWorld.org. More papers were generated in the Winter Quarter 2008 IST8A course also.
