Kopparapu Research

2017 UHP Graduate Srujan Kopparapu began interning in the Hunter Lab during his first quarter at UC Davis

Honors students typically engage in during their third year, however, there are some students that engage in research since their second year. Given its importance and relevance, research is an essential aspect of the honors curriculum. Therefore, in the honor students’ third year they are required to do one of the following activities: create an individually designed project, create an honors contract, study abroad, or enroll in UHP’s Project Management Course.

Starting from year one, honors students are involved in a variety of in-class projects. These projects seek to make a positive community impact. While so are implemented, others remain designed project plans waiting to be implemented. Over the course of their undergraduate career, students learn to thoroughly research different solutions to a wide-variety of local and global problems. These solutions are then implemented with the guidance of passionate faculty members and shaped into a project.
